If you’ve been in the Santa Maria Valley for any time, you know the
Halsell name. The family has lived here for more than 45 years. Chuck
and Margie are the parents of nine – James is number four, Joe number five. This team is also known as Halsell Builders.
It was James and Joe who were inspired to build the
stunning, 5,700 square-foot country estate now named,
Magnolia. They also built the home next door to it as a
dream home for their parents retirement; but far be it
from Margie to retire. Though she did see it as a dream
come true. It was a way to bring together her more than
20 years of experience in senior services and her
a much-needed resource – a caring, compassionate
assisted-lifestyle home for seniors suffering from all
forms of dementia, a disease that affects more than 30,000 people on the Central Coast alone and their families.
It’s interesting how things happen. James drew on his skills from his first career working with assisted-living homes in Santa Barbara and the Bay Area. His sister, Phyllis lent her talents in nursing to the project. And once again the family answered the call, coming together to make it happen.
The Halsell family is committed to bringing their same dedication
to excellence in custom residential construction and customer service, to their newest venture – Senior Living Resources – and is proud to offer Magnolia in Orcutt.
Senior Living Resources focuses on providing great care for seniors and their families. Having a passion for caring for seniors is essential in assisted living and it’s why we’re good at it. We understand that love, honor and respect are the building blocks for a care home and allow the families that we work with to have peace return to their daily lives. But don’t take our word for it – hear from the families that we have had the honor to serve by going to our “Reviews” page. Thanks!
